Grades

For a detailed description of the various evaluation activities please go to the Activities section.

Continous Assessment Grade

  • The CAT grade is computed as the average of all the grades but the lowest one.

  • All CATs have the same weight.

  • CATs not attended by the student will be computed as 0.0 unless a written justification is presented.

Extra grades

  • Student Presentation: Maximum of 2.0 points.

  • Class Participation: Maximum of 1.0 points.

Course Grade

The Course Grade is computed according to the following rules:

  • Rule #1: Course Grade = 0.5 * CAT Grade + 0.5 * Final Exam Grade

  • Rule #2: If the student passed the Course Grade (grade >= 5.0) then the Extra grades are added.

  • Rule #3: If the student has done the Re-evaluation exam then Course Grade is the maximum between:

    1. Re-evaluation Exam Grade.

    2. 0.5 * CAT Grade + 0.5 * Re-evaluation Exam Grade.

In this case Rule #2 equally applies.
