Class Contents

Classes are a mix of theory with examples presented by the professor with lab time where the students work on exercises and can get the help by the professor walking aroung the class.

Classrooms

Classrooms are computer lab equiped with personal computers conected to a server the keeps the user spaces. The directory to save your materials is called Data (regulary security copies are performed by the support team). This space is available during class in any computer and classroom and during the exams as well.

Class Organization

  • Atttending classes is not mandatory.

  • The classes of the two groups of this course as supposed to be roughly the same and it is allowed to attend the group that you are not enrelled in as long as there are seats available.

  • Start: Classes start at 5’ past the “oficial” start time.

  • Finish: 15’ before the official end time.

  • Usually there is no break. Feel free to leave the class if necessary.

  • If you are late please take a seat siklently at the end of the class.

Class Norms

  • Eating and drinking are forbiden in class.

  • Mobile phones should be silenced and kept in your bag.

  • Talking should be avoided or kept at the minimum volume level during class presentations.

Class Participation

The participation in class is strongly encouraged to make the class a place for knowledge interaction. It includes both: answering questions posed by the professor and asking interesting questions.

Eval

  • Each contribution is worth 1 point of class participation.

  • There is a maximum of 2 participations per class.

  • The maximum is 10 points.

Grade

This is an extra grade that is added to your final grade. Check the grades section to see the exact weight and terms.
