Linux
=====

Linux is an old-school, highly reputated, foundational computer Operating System.
In class this will be the operating system running in our computers.

Therefore you need to know the basic commands. Here you have a `cheat sheet <https://cheatography.com/davechild/cheat-sheets/linux-command-line/>`_.

Linux should allow us to perform the usual programming operations such as:

    - Managing your files siting in you user area.
    - Executing Python programs
    - Lauching web navigators
    - Laucning anaconda navigator wich is a path to a number of useful Python programming tools.
    - Lauching our Intergrated Developing System such as *Idle* or *Spider*.
    - Running doctest to test the correctness of our programs.

At home you do not need to have Linux installed. Intead you can install and run Python, Idle and/or Anaconda on you *Operating System* and work with them independently of the operating sytsem running underneath.
