Python IDEs
===========

This course is about programming small Python functions.
The most important tasks of this process will be done using an IDE (*Integrated Developping Environment*) which in this course will be either **idle** :doc:`idle` or **Spider**.

These tasks include:

    - Using the shell to try the Python examples discussed in class.
    - Editing and python code and comments.
    - Importing common libraries such as ``math`` or ``pandas``.
    - Running and debugging python code.
    - Testing and Python code.

**Idle** is a very basic, standalone software that can be launched directly in you computer. We recommend you have it in your favorites list. Check the Idl section bellow.

**Spider** is a more powerfull IDE that can be lauched from *Anaconda Navigator*. This is available in our copmuters and we recommend that you install it in you home computer.
